HOW DOES COACHING WORK?
What I love about coaching is that it is based on the idea that we are all naturally creative, resourceful and whole.
Most of the time you don’t need anyone to give you the answers; you just need the right questions, time and attention to explore new possibilities and make conscious choices and changes that will improve your life or performance at work.
I team up with individuals and leaders, like you, around the world, to help them:
achieve important goals
make a transition into a new career or role, or return to work after parenting
get unstuck in a career crossroads
take the next steps with a business or venture
make important changes for their health & wellbeing
address fears or feelings of overwhelm or paralysis
bring more peace, clarity, balance and simplicity into life
find a more purposeful direction
have more fun!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN I BOOK A TRIAL SESSION?
Sure, coaching is all about a relationship so I always start with a free 30 minute taster call to check that we're the right fit for each other. You can tell me about why you want coaching and ask me any questions. You can book a taster here.
HOW MANY, HOW LONG AND HOW OFTEN ARE SESSIONS?
I recommend working together for a minimum of 3 months. This gives you time to learn, try out and embed new tools and learnings and time to tame your gremlin who will be on high alert at the whiff of change! Generally, sessions are 1 hour every 2 or 3 weeks according to what fits in best with your schedule.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO COACHING REMOTELY?
Very much so! In fact, most coaching around the world is done remotely via audio or video calls which work well. Clients tend to find it more convenient too. I tend to use Zoom. My timezone is GMT +7.
HOW IS COACHING DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES?
This is an important one!
Consultants give strategic and expert advice and solutions. As your coach, I am not a problem-solver or adviser. You are the expert of your life and my role is to help you to see things clearly and empower you to make decisions.
Mentors typically advise and support from their own experience. Coaching is self-directed learning. My coaching tools and techniques apply and serve you regardless whether I have any expertise in the subject matter.
Therapists or Counsellors generally focus on how past circumstances are linked to current emotional experience. Coaches recognise the importance of emotions with respect to blockages that can make success elusive, but the focus is always on moving forward in practical ways.
